ParkLife Milk Bones

 What are they?

They are dental chews for your dog made of high quality ingredients.

What do they do?

They help clean your dog's teeth when you give them one as a chew.

What is the flavour?

They come in 3 different flavours: Chicken, Salmon and Lamb.

How much do they cost?

They are £10 for 3 small or £15 for 3 large which for the quality and how long they last is an amazing price.

Would I get them again?

I would definitely get them again as Loki is a strong chewer and most chews don't last him that long.

Lovejoys Fish Hypoallergenic Complete Adult Dog Food

 What is it?

This is a complete adult dog food that is hypoallergenic for dogs with sensitive stomachs.

What do I think of it?

It's a great food and for a fish one doesn't smell to bad. The nuggets of food aren't to big so it's suitable for all sizes of dog which is amazing. The only problem I had was with the bag as it's not resealable and I had to cut it open.

What did Loki think of it?

Loki was very excited to try it and his bowl is now empty by the evening every day (he's a grazer and has never eaten his food all at once). He's maintained a good weight whilst being on it as well and his coat is perfect. He does have fishy breath after eating it but that is to be expected!

Would I buy it?

I would buy this food again for Loki as he is fussy and if he'll eat a dry food without leaving any it's amazing.

What is the cost?

It is a more expensive food however you are paying for the quality so I'd say it's well worth it.

A 2kg bag is £10.99 and a 12kg bag is £59.19

Vets Kitchen little stars-pork

 What are they?

Vets kitchen little stars-pork are medium sized treats that are grain free with a single protein source (being pork in these ones). They are designed for dogs with sensitive tummies and are hypoallergenic.

What did Loki think?

Loki was so excited for them as soon as he saw the packet (he's never had them before) and was so excited for them he wouldn't sit down and kept jumping up at me! He wasn't cautious of them at all like he sometimes is with some treats.

What did I think?

I think these are a great option for dogs with a more sensitive stomach plus they are suitable for all ages from puppy to senior due to the fact they are soft treats with very few ingredients. I would definitely buy these for Loki as he absolutely loves them! Buy them here

Gentle dental bone-gentle dog food

 What is it?

The gentle dog Gentle dental bone is a meal and chew in one! The small bone is half a days food for a 10kg dog and the large bone is half a days food for a 20kg dog. As well as being a meal replacement (grey when you're travelling) they also clean your dogs teeth. Shop here

What do I think of it?

I think they're great dental bones as they are really tough and take more chewing through than a lot of other dog dental bones and they're also a great idea if you are travelling with your dog as they are much easier to transport and store than a bag of dog food.

What did Loki think?

I think Loki loved them because he didn't leave them until they were gone and no crumbs were left in his crate afterwards.

Gentle dog food did send me this to try out with Loki however all opinions are mine and Loki's.

What do I think?

I think these are great treats for medium to large dogs however they could also be broken for smaller dogs. I love the packaging and the fact the box is nice and bright.

Tails.com dog food

I ordered my dog, Loki, a tails.com dog food and here's what we thought.

What is tails.com dog food?

Tails.com dog food is a personalized dog food for your dog with everything for your individual dog. It comes with a scoop that needs to be set for the individual dogs food amount which is given when the food is delivered.

How does it work?

You put in your dogs details, such as age, breed, weight, any allergies and then they do a personalized food for your dog that is delivered to you when required. The bag will have your dogs name on as will their food scoop which is good with multiple dogs.

What is the cost?

It will vary from dog to dog due to size differences as they do a set amount for the dog and it's breed and size.

What did I think?

This is great for if you can't get out to get dog food or you want something specific for your individual dog.

What did Loki think?

Loki was grazing on his previous food however he will eat all of this in one go which is incredibly unusual for him.

What is my rating?

I rate this 9/10 as it is expensive for Loki's size however it being personalized for him is a bonus as is the fact he'll eat it all in one go when it's put out for him.

Samples box from Dust Free Hay

Hi readers! Dust Free Hay kindly sent me a sample box to review.

What is it?
It is a sample box with all 4 different types of hay that Dust Free Hay sell.

What is in it?
It has a decent size sample of each type of hay.

  1. Soft
  2. Stalky
  3. US Timothy
  4. UK Timothy
How much is it?
It is £14.48 and the weight is approx 1.5kg.

What do I think?
This is a great box to get if you aren't sure what hay your small pets will like. There was no dust in the hay and you get a good amount of hay if you only have a couple of small pets. The sampls only lasted a couple of days with my 4 guinea pigs and 2 rabbits.

What did my small furries think?
The guinea pigs definitely preferred the soft hay and the timothy hays over the stalky hay but the rabbits really liked the stalky hay and the timothy hay.

You can buy this box here

Coachies training treats: natural treats with chicken

Hi readers! The Company of Animals sent me some of their new and improved Coachies training
treats to review.

What are coachies?
Coachies are wheat free, oven baked dog treats for training dogs over 8 weeks old.

They are £1.19 for 75g and £2.49 for 200g from Fetch.

What do I think?
These are great treats. They are nice and small and great for training. I have tried them with the Alsatian, Mutty, at the farm. Mutty is quite fussy but she really likes these. Angel also liked them and so far they haven't upset her stomach.

HALTI training lead

Hi readers! The Company of Animals kindly sent me some of their products to review. I was very excited to receive their training lead as I had been wanting to get it for a long time.

What is it?
The halti training lead is a double ended lead, mainly used with a HALTI headcollar or harness. It has metal rings along it for easy length adjustment and to use it in many different ways.

How many ways can you use it?

  1. Long with handle
  2. One big loop
  3. One end on harness, other end on collar
  4. One end on front harness ring, other end on front harness ring
  5. One end on headcollar, other end on collar
  6. In a loop over your shoulder and over chest
How much does it cost?
It is £15 from Pets At Home

What do I think?
This lead is so versatile and is so much nicer than normal leads as it is very soft on your hands (it feels cushioned). The only downside is that if you use it when it rains the water really soaks in (I may of got caught in the rain whilst using it...) but it did dry reasonably quickly.

Would I buy it again?
I would definitely buy another one of these if I needed too.

NEW AND IMPROVED Halti Headcollar

Hi readers! The Company Of Animals kindly sent me some products to review after they saw my review of their old halti headcollar. This is my honest opinion of the new and improved headcollar. I am not being paid or anything to review this.

What has been improved on the headcollar?
It has a new design for no pulling and better control over your dog. It is lightweight and has a fully padded noseband which has a reflective strip at the front. Just like the old version it has a safety link to attach to your dogs collar. The first thing I noticed when I took the headcollar out of the packaging was that the part that tightens to stop the dog pulling is a full loop round rather than just straight up the dogs face. I personally thing this is a great change and is kinder to the dogs face.

What do I think of the improvements?
The improvements personally haven't changed much about the headcollar. The noseband is definitely better padded and the reflective strip is a great addition. It still stops Angel pulling and she still doesn't like having it put on (she doesn't like wearing her harness either).

I use the halti whenever I walk her and it really does help with her pulling. I would really recommend this to anyone whose dog pulls.

Carrot Crate: Bunny Valentine

Hi readers! Carrot Crate very kindly sent me their Bunny Valentine box to review.

This toy didn't last long!

What is it?
Carrot Crate do subscription boxes for rabbits that could also be used for guinea pigs if you had both(Like me).

How much does it cost?
Carrot Crates are £18 for a one month, £17.50 a month for a three month and £16 a month for a 6 month. You can also buy previous boxes at £18 a box.

What is in the Bunny Valentine box?

  • 3 x heart-beets from The WellKept Rabbit.
  • Strawberry and Raspberry from BunnyBitesUK
  • Forage bag from Healthier Hops
  • Hessian Heart hanging stuffed toy from Dried Delights
  • Binky Bell Toy from The Binky Shop
It was all in a cardboard box that they will get to play with.

What do I think?
This is a great box for rabbits and you do get a good variety of natural treats and toys. It is on the slightly expensive side but it is worth the money for what you get. My rabbits aren't normally intrested in toys but loved the Binky Bell Toy and it lasted only around a hour.

Would I buy it again?
I would probably buy it to share between the guinea pigs and the rabbits as it is quite expensive to just get it for the rabbits.

Mo :)
